Walk in the Light of the Lord

The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.

It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life.  Very impressive thinking!

Home/school partnership

We believe that working together with parents can actually enhance children’s learning. Supporting your child through involvement with the school can take a variety of forms, from supporting with homework activities, and attending parents’ evenings, to helping with a range of activities in school. Parent volunteers are always welcome. If you would like to offer help of any kind please let us know!

In previous years parents and children have been given the opportunity to work together through a project called ‘Family Learning’, focusing on Literacy and Numeracy through the topic of Gardening.  One of the results has been a rejuvenated garden that many parents and children are continuing to care for.  During this year we hope to set up family learning sessions in ICT.
