Walk in the Light of the Lord
The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.
It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life. Very impressive thinking!

Learning in the Foundation Stage
In the Foundation Stage it is through the vehicle of meaningful play that the beginnings of a child's education are established and so it is important to recognise that for children of this age play is their learning tool.
Staff plan activities and experiences that help children to begin to learn the skills and attitudes necessary to be a successful learner. Staff are guided by the Foundation Stage Curriculum and children work towards achieving the Early Learning Goals which provide a progression of skills and learning. The children are assessed using a ‘profile’ within these Early Learning Goals to ensure specific learning for each child.
