Walk in the Light of the Lord

The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.

It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life.  Very impressive thinking!

Mathematics

Again this is taught every morning through the Numeracy hour with many other opportunities taken across the curriculum to develop and practise these skills.
We aim to ensure that pupils gain confidence and proficiency with numbers and measures. We place an emphasis on mental calculations, practical work and Maths games, which result in sound understanding and achievement for our pupils.  Mathematics lessons are fast moving, engaging and challenging! Every child now uses the computer programme RM Maths at least three times per week to consolidate the classroom learning.
