At Churchfield we are committed to providing high standards of teaching and learning. We expect pupils to work hard to achieve their best. We use a variety of teaching styles and groupings to help them to learn.

All pupils are taught:

Foundation subjects

• History
• Geography
• Art
• Music
• Physical Education
• Design and Technology
• Religious Education

Each of these subjects is taught separately to ensure progression within the subject, but also through cross-curricular work to ensure that the learnt skills are applied in all areas of the curriculum.  Every term there is a theme week during which all of the tasks in every subject are completed following a particular theme.  Recent themes have included  ‘The Church in Churchfield’ ; ‘A Healthy Churchfield’ ; ‘Churchfield in the World’; Science in Churchfield; Looking at Ourselves at Churchfield and the Bible in Churchfield.
