Walk in the Light of the Lord

The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.

It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life.  Very impressive thinking!

Each of these subjects is taught separately to ensure progression within the subject, but also through cross-curricular work to ensure that the learnt skills are applied in all areas of the curriculum.  Every term there is a theme week during which all of the tasks in every subject are completed following a particular theme.  Recent themes have included  ‘The Church in Churchfield’ ; ‘A Healthy Churchfield’ ; ‘Churchfield in the World’; Science in Churchfield; Looking at Ourselves at Churchfield and the Bible in Churchfield.
