Walk in the Light of the Lord
The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.
It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life. Very impressive thinking!

School aims
Encouraging a love of learning and personal achievement in a Christian environment.
Where the uniqueness of individuals is valued, celebrated and nurtured.
Where everyone is included
Staff, Governors and Parents together have written the following aims for our school.
- School Ethos
- To create a happy, welcoming and secure environment, where everyone can work in an atmosphere of co-operation, consideration and respect for each other. To promote Christian and moral values according to the teaching and practices of the Church of England and to recognise and respect other faiths and cultures.
- Curriculum
- To offer a broad, balanced curriculum, which includes all subjects of the National Curriculum, and provide equal opportunities to enable each child to develop skills and concepts to their full potential. To offer learning experiences in which the children can be actively involved, giving them opportunities for questioning, thoughtful response, investigation and the challenge of solving problems.
- Pastoral Care
- To nurture a caring and supportive environment and develop in each child a sense of worth, independence and self-discipline. To ensure that the experience of relationships within the school community is one based firmly on the Christian values of love, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.
- The School in the Community
- To promote a close and co-operative partnership between home and school in all aspects of the education of our children, and promote links with the local and wider community so that children are adequately prepared to take their place as citizens.
