Walk in the Light of the Lord
The pupils decided that this would be the school motto from September 2007.
It was a surprising choice. When asked why it was his choice a boy in year 6 said that light shows us the way and that is like Jesus showing us the way to live our life. Very impressive thinking!

Classes Year 3
On Thursday we taught our class (3/4BC) all about Islam. We brought in special things from home to show everyone. Shaher dressed up in the clothes that he would normally wear on a Friday to visit the mosque. Raheim brought in his prayer mat and his prayer beads. We passed these things around the class too, everyone enjoyed wearing Shaher's prayer cap! The class listened well while we told them all about Eid, our visits to Bangladesh and we even taught them some Arabic!
At first we felt shy and nervous about talking to everyone but by the end we were enjoying being the teachers!

On Tuesday 8th April, Peter Ralley came into school to teach year 3/4BC about animation.
In the morning, they were all introduced to the 'Pivot' animation program and had to produce a short film. After this fun Pivot lesson, year 3/4 learned to record mini films in the style of 'Wallace and Gromit' using Simpson figures and 'Digital Blue' Cameras! By the afternoon all the class were confident enough to make a longer film using their own figures, adding text and music!
They thought it was a great experience and can't wait to create more films in the future!
On Thursday 6th March 3/4BC visited WHSmith in Rugeley. We exchanged our book vouchers for one of the nine books produced especially for World Book Day.
From Captain Underpants to Where's Wally? We can't wait to get reading!
Mr Ecclestone spoke to 3/4BC today about Stranger Danger.
Look at our display between the hall and dining room to make sure you are familiar with the 'golden rules'.
